“I finally felt motivated to make this book happen mid last year. Clients and friends mentioned or suggested it over the years. So, it began. I figured I’d take a year to work on it but because of a recent move I had extra time so it was completed ahead of schedule. Feeling I covered a lot, verging on overkill, hopefully not. I called it done after going over 200 pages. Importantly I wanted to pay tribute to the main artists and tattoo artists who had the biggest impact on me, most especially in the realm of tigers. I tried to incorporate a good amount of suggestions on executing tigers, some pop culture hybrids, cultural/regional influences, a touch of realistic illustrative approaches and wild fantasy influenced tigers. Hopefully it will be a helpful “go to” book. Whether it be directly in future tattoo jobs or to grab a few ideas and be inspired.”
